Night at the Farm

So on Friday afternoon, me, mom and Heather headed out to 'the farm' in Wisconsin. We left about 2:45ish, and stopped at about 3:30 to eat. It was nice to get away from children for 24 hrs ;-)

On saturday we headed into Red Wing on the way home and went into some antique shops. I really wanted these New Kids on the Block dolls but they were too expensive ;-) We got home about 4:30 on Saturday, and the kids were very excited to see me!!! Can't wait to do it again!!!

Summer Fun

FINALLY all last week it was hot enough to swim everyday!!! (Emily has the best tan lines. ha!) On Friday it was about 90 out and we had some friends over. Julie and Laura (I worked with them at the Y) and their kids. We were out for about 2 hrs, and had fun!!! Julie has 2 girls and Laura has 3 boys so it was perfect ;-)

15 yrs ago........

...this was my Target posse. The 5 of us worked together at Target when I was in high school and hung out all the time. There were a couple other guys that hung out with us too, and I don't really remember Patty hanging out doing movies and stuff. What a shock, me and a bunch of guys! I think Tony was my best friend of the group, he and I used to hang out all the time. He lives in Florida now and was up for a wedding so we all went out and had fun :o) We went to The Bulldog in Uptown for drinks and food and chit chat....and we watched the Twins actually win one! Haircuts

Jacob and Emily got haircuts in the past couple weeks. I buzzed Jacob's hair, which I have never done before. This is him before (actually this was in June but it was much shaggier now!)

I don't have any pics yet, but I buzzed Jacob's hair last night. He looks SO different!!! He really looks like Nick now, because my mom did his a few weeks ago. I ask him "Hey! Did you get a haircut?" and he replies "Jus mike Bubba!" (just like bubba) ha ha!! He looks cute!

I scanned some pics yesterday at Jerrod and Lindsey's. These are of prom and the senior party, 2 things everyone should experience!!! I had a blast!! My boyfriend (John) wouldn't go to prom with me so I asked my friend Billy. Here we are in front of my house.

We spent the night at Chrissy's sister's house. This is the next morning.

Senior Party........this thing told me I was good at math. Whatever.

Me and Melissa. We lost touch for awhile and then she started coming to bible study and MOPS. We had Psychology together and ate lunch together everyday with Billy and his friend.

It's supposed to warm up next week, but our pool still won't be warm enough to swim in :-( It takes weeks to heat up, and with the weather the way it is, I'm betting we won't see nice waters till at least mid august. But if these pics are any indication of the summer to come, I won't bet on it.

Rosie gets a little sister

And Rosie is NOT happy about it!! I obviously thought I didn't have enough to do during the day so we got a kitten. Her name is Callie. She is 8 weeks old and doesn't even mind being shut in the bathroom at night.

Not Me Monday

Since I am a stickler for my kids wearing their pajamas to bed and not clothes, I certainly did not let Bubba sleep in his clothes to avoid a fight, and then forget the next morning that he wore said clothes to bed, saw him sitting on the couch dressed and assumed he was ready to go. I did not usher everyone out the door and upon arriving to work, remember the clothes looked vaguely familiar.....and that he wore them to bed. :-/ I did NOT announce to everyone that he was wearing the same clothes as the day before b/c I didn't want people to think my kids never bathe. Nope, not me.

My mom's side of the family went to dinner a week ago Sunday, and I did NOT eat enough food to feed myself and my MSC (many small children) I did not have a chicken breast, a half rack of ribs, a small steak, 2 bowls of baked beans, a bowl of coleslaw, and 2 glasses of Mt Dew....and then top it off with 2 pieces of pie at my mom's. Nope, I would never eat that much. In my defense, we were celebrating my grandparents 60th wedding anniversary, and I was whooping it up :-D

I also have never skipped baths for my kids a few days in row b/c they went swimming, and therefore got "clean"
