Lake Nokomis Memorial Day

I took Nick and Emily to Lake Nokomis for awhile on Monday. Jake was still running a temp. He probably could have gone, but with a field trip Wednesday we figured it was better he rest up. It wasn't that great outside, cloudy, windy and cold by the water!!

This is actually a leotard we got as a hand me down, and she insists on using it as a suit. whatever.

I honestly don't know how they lasted almost an hour in the water.

Sculpture Garden fun

On Sunday afternoon we were all sitting around being lazy, and I was looking up stuff on the internet on Twin Cities Moms or something. I remembered that the sculpture garden is free, and we had never been there. I googled and showed Nick and Emily the picture of the cherry spoon and asked if they wanted to go. They were all for it so the 3 of us headed out (Poor Jake had a temp again and stayed home with Bill) We are definitely going there a lot this summer!

So just when I thought Emily was going to lose it and want to go home, she found this stick and started "poking" all the statues with it. I think Nick was getting annoyed forwhatever reason and I was like dude, she's having fun and she's quiet! Leave her be! ha ha

Stellan's Story

For those of you who don't know who I'm referring to when I say Stellan or MckMama, she is a mom from Mound, MN who found out when she was pg with #4 that he had a heart condition called SVT for short.....(I don't know what the long name is) I stumbled across a link to her blog on MomsLikeMe.com and have been hooked ever since. They have a name gallery where people from all over the workd write Stellan's name in various items (legos, buttons, sand etc) and send it in. That's where my picture was. Field Trips galore!

Nick's class has already been on at least 6 or 7 of them this year, and has 2 more. On May 28th they're going to the Bakken and Pavek museums (more I haven't heard of) and on June 5th to the Capitol. Last night he got to do a 4th grade sleepover at the Minnesota Zoo! He said he laid awake for a long time looking at the fishes :o) They had pizza for supper, walked around the zoo, got a t shirt, and had cereal this morning before they left for school. Jacob gets to go to the MN Zoo on the 27th, and Emily gets to go there on June 3. Yes I go to all the field trips, and I will have my fill of the zoo for awhile it seems. Esp with a bunch of Autisic kids running around. That will be interesting!!!

Not Me Monday

First of all, I did NOT send my kids out the door the other day wearing whatever they chose because I didn't want to fight with them about outfits AGAIN.

I did NOT give them dry waffles to eat on the bus because I was too busy reading MckMama's blog and ran out of time to put said waffles on plates with syrup. Nope, not me.

I did NOT force my children to go to bed at 8:00 on Thursday b/c I HAD to watch the finale of Grey's Anatomy.

I did NOT wipe down my daughter with baby wipes after she came inside from playing b/c it was too late to give her a bath, and instead gave her one on the morning.

This is my first time doing this, I hope I did it right :-D

Twins game Friday May 8, 2009

What a night!! My friend Sha and I went to the game and had a blast! We watched the Twins hand the Mariners their butts winning 11-0. We had fun taking crazy pictures.....I also went today (sunday) but we lost 5-3.
